Context: An experimental short film

An eight-minute experimental short film directed by Geoffroy Reyno and produced by Les Films du Loup Blanc. It has been screened at a number of short film festivals, including the Ptit Clap festival in Paris.

Service: Production of special effects

Virtual snowfall special effects on nine shots from the film, after shooting and editing.

Details

- The snowflakes were created entirely digitally using a 3D particle generator.
- During compositing, the special effects were overlaid - particularly behind characters and set elements - using rotoscoping (manual cropping of elements for each shot) and matchmoving (techniques for extracting movement information from an element).
